Check out the update linked at the bottom of this post!
After living in my dorm for a month, I decided I wanted to relocate to an apartment for the coming school year. I secured an unfurnished apartment with friends and then started thinking about how I was going to fill it with a student's salary, a.k.a. nothing. I decided to employ some of my mechanical engineering skills and make use of the Maker Gym at the University of Delaware (the Maker Gym is a space filled with all sorts of machining tools that students can use for free with some training). I also wanted to take the opportunity to learn how to use another 3D modeling software, Fusion 360.
The idea for this Flatpack CNC Bedside Table was inspired by Moroccan poufs. I sketched the design and then used Fusion 360 to 3D model my design and create a 3D render.

The Maker Gym was not offering the training required to use the CNC machine in the fall semester, but I plan to get trained in its use during winter session. This will be updated with the real-life product when that occurs.
